tooooooonight i went down to the courthouse square with katie and deicded within a few minutes what we were going to do. we started telling everyone around that we were going to give a performance reading, and to come watch in a few minutes by "That Tree" and we pointed.

so we got a group to circle around and we began by reading a poem together, sometimes at the same time, sometimes on totally different lines, really smooth improvisation to be honest, no awkward stops.. that went on for a few minutes, switching vocal pitches and tones, moving around, jumping, yelling, whispering, etc.

then i began to clear my throat as katie began to mime a sound setup, "testing testing" and all that. turning dials, pushing buttons, while i told her what to do and what i needed to hear myself. then i asked the audience how my volume was and got a good response.

this segued into our last reading, during which i read from my saturn car's manual and fed katie reciepts from a mcdonald's bag. it was pretty hilarious! between reading my manual and i offered bits of reciepts to the audience, and a bunch of people ate them, too! i was impressed. then we switched places and she fed me reciepts while reading from my manual.

this was all a result of a two minute planning session. a good time had by all and a perfect way to spend my last night in the states!
